Her mind went reeling back to the day when she became a beautiful bride. One that everyone awed at, She remembered beaming with joy and couldn’t wait to start her new life, to her first day at work as a wife.

Then the day at the gynecologists office and those very words that confirmed her status as a mother for the very first time.

Among those very many “firsts” there was also a day that led her to wonder that something wasn’t quite right .. that something did not “fit”. Her little angel wasn’t responding age appropriately, milestones were delayed, seemingly normal events were rapidly turning into nightmares piece by piece , bit by bit.

Until the day she found herself staring in disbelief at the doctor in her office. “These are red flags for Autism Spectrum Disorder” The child seems to be showing all the symptoms of being on the moderate scale of Autism. That followed by the gushing overload of painful information , dos and dont’s, expectation setting and what not.

And thus begins the journey of another special mother , a caregiver , as she sets her feet on a lifelong journey of hand-holding, nurturing , countless learnings, struggles and challenges at every step of life.

“UNTIL ALL THE PIECES FIT” is a support initiative under the flagship of SORAN KIDS which works to build an ecosystem of support & opportunities for equality and inclusion for children and families on Autism Spectrum.
